I lay here with a million thoughts ruminating in my head. But one in particular stands out, is the recent ‘prayer’ i’ve been getting since receiving my new car and that is that of marriage. Why is that the first thing people always think of? In as much as I feel they have good intentions, it doesn’t all sit well with me. It has me thinking do these people know if that is what I want, or if they think it happens over night?

Marriage isn’t anything to rush into and the experiences of others in my environment has taught me enough to know you can’t walk into such a commitment with your eyes closed. It’s not as easy as drinking water. Eventually finding the right person is what some people wish for however getting to that point is the tedious part as you come across all the frogs in the pond before meeting the one you fit with. 

One must be vigilant in their journey towards such and people too need to be a bit more sensitive towards others they are not aware of the struggles it entails. Such a commitment is nothing to rush into, cause people can have the faces of many.

To those aspiring to getting to that point, I wish you luck. To those who have no aspiration to getting into such a union, more power to you too. Peoples life choices need to be respected.
